Sundays are extra lazy when its raining.
I was freely browsing the net and clicked on the horoscopes at Yahoo, just for fun. Clicked on Capricorn and this is what I got for May 18, 2008:
Quickie:
Today, hold off making any judgments -- your mood isn't clear today. Wait a while.
Overview:
Coworkers
or family members are all het up over some new problem, but you can see
that it's actually pretty straightforward -- even if you can't quite
explain how. You'll save the day pretty soon.
Normally, I find Sundays to be good days for decision making. The slow pace helps when you need to think or decide on something. The overview part is so useless but saving the day pretty soon sounds nice and quite exciting.
I wonder how this will turn out.
Will the rising cost of gasoline change your summer travel plans?
>>> Not just my summer travel plans but also my every routine. Unleaded gasoline here in Manila costs around PhP48.80 per liter (That is around US$1.08 per liter). It increases by .50 centavos every two days. Before my full tank runs for about 15 days. But now its down to 10 days. And when you get stuck in one of Manila's famed traffic jams, it gets down to 8 or 9... I hate it but there is nothing I can do. :-(

10:45AM
I woke up today with a major headache. Its like a hangover but without a previous alcohol intake. I guess its over sleeping since I was snoozing almost all day yesterday. I thought it would revive my spirit.
Checking my calendar, the week of May 4 to 10 will be quite busy.
- Tomorrow is my grandmother's birthday. Although she passed away already, we still celebrate it. My mom asked me via sms if I could join them today in Loyola Marikina but I had to beg off since I have work to finish today. I'm not sure if there will be something tomorrow.
- My brother's birthday was last May 2. I think we're celebrating it sometime this week.
- I have two friends coming home from abroad: one will arrive tonight and one is arriving on the 10th. I'm sure I have to block off a day or two for that.
- I also have a friend who is leaving on the 8th and, from what i heard, is planning a small farewell thing.
So many things to do. So little time.
It is Labor Day today.
A non-working holiday for many, but just another full working day for me. One thing I like about non-working holidays is that traffic is a breeze. It takes me no more than ten minutes to drive to the office. As compared to regular days when hellish traffic makes me do a 45-minute crawl to my workplace.
In my previous jobs, i enjoyed a 5-day work week with weekends off. I had time for myself. Now I work a six day work week enjoying the most of my one day off. Sad thing is I don't always get to take my one day off. There are times that work consumes that one fuckin' day supposedly reserved for my photography, family, friends, food cravings, beer parties, long baths, and other earthly pleasures.
I miss escaping to Boracay or Cebu for the weekend. I miss doing clubbing marathons that run from Friday night to Sunday night. I'd like to re-live the days when weekends were alive.
*sigh*
Labor Day is insulting.
